On days 15, 16 and 17 of December, Zollern offered training in Non-destructive Tests to a team of Furnas Power Plants.
The
goal was to demonstrate the theory and practice how is the process of
verifying the quality of adhesion between the babbit and bearing body.
The procedure is done by Ultrasonic Test (U.T.), and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI).
In Zollern, quality control is done in 100% of the parts, and as this concern is constant, training participants Fernando Queiroz, Adriano Alcântara and Edilson da Silva still could check closely the new ultrasound equipment, portable and digital acquired by the company, taking into account international standards.
Marlon Lacerda, Zollern non-destructive testing inspector was responsible for conducting the training, which he evaluated positively.
"Before, customers only had contact with the work done but now they have a broader view and a better grounding in time to assess company's products. Moreover, they became more intimate with our quality control process, "says the inspector.
